Alanis Morissette: Reckoning – újabb kislemezdal a női producerekkel készült új albumról

Az énekesnő a turnébillentyűsével, Michael Farrell-lel közösen írt új album első három kislemezdalát a fenti kép bal szélén látható 26 éves ausztrál producerlány Alex Hope (Tegan And Sara, Troye Sivan, Carly Rae Jepsen, Marina And The Diamonds stb.) segédletével rögzítette, a ma bemutatott Reckoning producere viszont a jobb oldalon álló angol Catherine Marks volt (akinek már egy sor remek munkája volt a Wolf Alice 2014-es Creature Songs EP-jétől  a Big Moon csajkvartett debütalbumán és Frank Turner tavalyi No Man’s Land lemezén át a Radiohead-gitáros Ed O’Brien idei EOB-szólóalbumáig).

Ami magát a dalt illeti, azt Alanis még 2017-ben írta, mikor végre igazságot szolgáltattak neki egy bírósági ügyben: a menedzsere, Jonathan Todd Schwartz mintegy ötmillió dollárt sikkasztott el tőle, amiért a férfit hat év börtönre ítélték. „A patriarchátus bukása” – summázta a művésznő.
