Alexis Krauss: War Cry – a Sleigh Bells énekesnőjének szólódala a Dark Nights: Metal képregénysorozathoz
A Dark Nights: Metal című DC-képregénysorozathoz igazított sztárparádés minialbumról már hallhattuk a Mastodon-dobos Brann Dailor első szólódalát (Red Death) és a Deftones-frontember Chino Moreno számát (Brief Exchange), melyekhez a zenei kíséretet a basszusgitáros-sztárproducer Mike Elizondo és két Marilyn Manson-tag, a gitáros-zeneszerző-producer Tyler Bates és a dobos Gil Sharone biztosította. Most itt a velük készült harmadik szám is, melyhez egy indie rock csajt kértek fel énekelni: Alexis Krausst a brooklyni Sleigh Bells duóból!
A dalsorozat legutóbbi énekesének, a Deftones-főnök Chino Morenónak a kapcsolódási pontját a zenészekhez az jelentette, hogy Team Sleep nevű másik együttesében Gil Sharone-nal együtt játszik, míg a legújabb számban éneklő Alexis Krauss úgy került a képbe, hogy a legutóbbi Sleigh Bells-albumnak, a 2016-os Jessica Rabbitnek Mike Elizondo volt a hangmérnök-társproducere. Chino dalában, a Brief Exchange-ben a Sötét Multiverzumba helyezett sorozat gonosz Batman-inkarnációi közül az őrült Nevető Batman (The Batman Who Laughs) kap szerepet. . .

Alexis Krauss a Sleigh Bells duó tavalyi novemberi Kid Kruschev minialbuma óta idén már egy másik szólófelvételt is közzétett, és az is egy harci dal: a januárban kiadott Our Land című protest song az őslakos indán területek megvédésért száll síkra, elsősorban a Utah államban lévő Bears Ears nemzeti parkért, melynek határait a Donald Trump-adminisztráció szeretné összébb húzni.
