Az OutKast-rapper André 3000 és Big Boi (meg Chuck D) Cee Lo Green új Goodie Mob-albumán

A kilencvenes évek elejétől a déli hiphopszíntér és -stílus kialakításában és sikerre vitelében a Dirty South gyűjtőnevet dalba foglaló Goodie Mob kvartett is kulcsszerepet játszott az OutKast mellett: többször szerepeltek egymás lemezein, felváltva dolgoztak az Organized Noize zeneszerző-producercsapattal – mindannyian tagjai voltak az atlantai Dungeon Family kollektívának.

A tavalyi Dungeon Family-turnén az OutKast-rapper Big Boi is részt vett a Goodie Mob-tagok mellett, így amikor ez utóbbiak elhatározták, hogy hét év után egy új albumot is készítenek, arra rögtön írtak és rögzítettek is egy közös számot Prey 4 Da Sheep címmel.

A Goodie Mob kvartett november 13-én megjelent Survival Kit nagylemezén az Are You Ready című nyitódal a Public Enemy-frontember Chuck D-vel készült, de a legnagyobb szenzációt az album André 3000-kollaborációja jelenti: Cee Lo Greenék három-négy számot is elküldtek a régi havernak, aki a No Cigarhoz írt és rögzített egy verzét a három Goodie Mod-rapper, Big Gipp, Khujo és T-Mo versszakai mögé.
