Arctic Monkeys: Four Out Of Five +FRISSÍTÉS: videoklip a Jimmy Fallonnál bemutatott dalhoz + az új album
A Last Shadow Puppets vezérpárosából Miles Kane pár napja mutatta be a videót nyárra várható új Coup de Grace szólólemezének Lana Del Rey-jel és Jamie T-vel írt számához (Loaded), és most nézzük Alex Turnert is, ahogy az idei Szigetre bejelentkezett Arctic Monkeys ma megjelent Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino albumának Four Out Of Five című dalát játssza Jimmy Fallon tévéműsorában anyazenekarával (meg a Tame Impala-tag Cameron Averyvel és a Mini Mansions-frontember Tyler Parkforddal). Amíg az új Arctic Monkeys-klipre várunk, egyelőre ez is megteszi. FRISSÍTÉS: két nappal később megjött a Four Out Of Five videója!
Alex Turner az ifjú amerikai dalszerző-énekesnővel, Alexandra Saviorrel közösen írt számoknál (lásd a Shades, M.T.M.E. Mystery Girl és Mirage klipdalokat vagy a végül Last Shadow Puppets-számmá lett Miracle Alignert!) kipróbált munkamódszerrel komponálta és demózta fel a Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino eredetileg szólóanyagnak tervezett – kevéssé rockos, inkább billentyűs textúrákra épülő – szerzeményeit, amelyekből aztán végül mégis Arctic Monkeys-albumot csinált sheffieldi zenésztársaival és James Ford producerrel (a végeredmény hangzásában inkább a másik zenekarának világához áll közelebb).
A címével a holdraszállás helyszínére, a Nyugalom tengerében lévő Tranquility Base-re hotel-kaszinót vízionáló albumon a 2001 – Űrodüsszeia holdbázisának helyt adó Clavius kráter jómódú emberek által benépesített jövőjéről mesélő Four Out Of Five című dalban az ötből négy csillagos értékelés Alexék mexikói taco éttermére utal a Holdon, de jó esetben nyilván a lemezre is fogják használni a kritikusok és rajongók (akik a mémekben gazdag első reakciók szerint nem pont ilyen Arctic Monkeys-albumot vártak).
A Four Out Of Five első tévés előadására New Yorkban múlt éjszaka Jimmy Fallon műsorában került sor nyolctagú felállással, melyben hátul a Mini Mansions haverzenekar billentyűs-énekesét, Tyler Parkfordot láthatjuk, akusztikus gitáron pedig a Tame Impala basszistáját, Cameron Averyt (aki a dal ősbemutatójakor, május 2-án San Diegóban az Arctic Monkeys három és fél év kihagyás után adott visszatérő koncertjén is ott volt Alexékkal).
FRISSÍTÉS: a Stanley Kubrick-filmek (2001 – Űrodüsszeia, Mechanikus narancs, Barry Lyndon, Ragyogás) által inspirált Four Out Of Five klipet, melyben két Alex Turner-karakter is szerepel, a Focus Creeps név alatt dolgozó Aaron Brown és Ben Chappell rendezte, akik 2011-2014 között már tíz Arctic Monkeys-videót forgattak!
