Beck: Dark Places +FRISSÍTÉS: Everlasting Nothing – újabb dal a Pharrell-lel készült Hyperspace albumról
A Colors című legutóbbi 2017-es sorlemezéért idén a legjobb alternatív album Grammy-dját elnyerő Beck az elmúlt hónapokban egy sor kollaborációval is feltűnt (Feist, Robyn, The Lonely Island, The Bird And The Bee, Cage The Elephant, Jenny Lewis, Jakob Dylan stb.), a november 22-re bejelentett Hyperspace című következő nagylemezének 11 dalából pedig hetet Pharrell társszerző-produceri segítségével készített: az album első három száma (Saw Lightning, Hyperlife, Uneventful Days) után a ma közzétett Dark Places is ezek sorába tartozik.
A 49 éves amerikai dalszerző-gitáros-énekes új lemezéről eddig bemutatott szerzemények mindegyikéhez kaptunk valamilyen kisfilmet: míg a Saw Ligthtning szólóverziójához a filmsztár Giovanni Ribisi rendezésében készült fekete-fehér performance video, addig a Hyperlife/Uneventful Days dalpárhoz Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) rendezett összevont klipet Evan Rachel Wood és Tessa Thompson szereplésével – a most érkezett Dark Places szöveges videóját pedig a fotós-rövidfilmes Eddie Obrand forgatta (ő korábban többek közt a Growlers, La Sera és La Femme együttesekkel, illetve King Tuff-fal is dolgozott).
