Bedstock – Norah Jones, Moby, Tegan and Sara, a Warpaint és sokan mások ágyból csinálják a fesztivált
A Woodstockra rímelő Bedstock nevű online zenei fesztivált egy portlandi gyermekrák alapítvány szervezi évre évre, és az a lényege, hogy a felkért előadók az általuk beküldött videókon az ágyukban (vagy ha épp koncertkörúton vannak, akkor a turnébuszukon lévő fekhelyükön) zenélnek az ágyban fekvő beteg gyerekek örömére. A tegnap lezajlott 2016-os rendezvényen olyan sztárok szerepeltek, mint Norah Jones, Jenny Lewis, Alessia Cara, Valerie June, Tegan and Sara, a Warpaint, a Regrettes tinizenekar, a Moldy Peaches-alapító Kimya Dawson és a hiphopper Aesop Rock közös The Uncluded projektje, a Red Fang stoner rockerei, Jack Johnson vagy a Mindy Jones énekesnővel duettező Moby.
Az idén összegyűlt félszáz fellépő nagyon szép szám, főleg annak tükrében, hogy 2014-ben még csak 22 előadó csatlakozott a portlandi Children’s Cancer Association által meghirdetett kezdeményezéséhez (a leghíresebbek a Chromeo tagjai, a Passion Pit és a Foster The People frontembere voltak), tavaly pedig 35 (köztük BØRNS, a My Morning Jacket-vezér Jim James, a Lucius és a Decemberists is).
