Sajnos egyelőre úgy tűnik, hogy az elmúlt két évre meghirdetett és a járványhelyzet miatt elmaradt turnéjuk átütemezésekor a beígért magyarországi fellépésüket az új menetrendből már kifelejtő előadók (Damon Albarn, Efterklang, Eels, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds stb.) sorába lépett a Belle And Sebastian is, a 2022 májusától 2023 januárjáig most bejelentett új dátumok közt ugyanis hiába keressük a két éve meghiúsult budapesti koncert pótlását – de annak örülhetünk, hogy május 7-én kapunk Stuartéktól A Bit Of Previous címmel egy 12 számos új nagylemezt (sőt a vinyl kiadáshoz járó bónuszkislemezen még egy 13. dalt is).

A címbeli korai/korábbi szóval nem az együttes régi hangzásához való visszatérésre, hanem egy hajdani szerelemre és a buddhista reinkarnáció-konceptre utaló album 22 év óta az első olyan sorlemezük, melyet hazai terepen, Glasgow-ban rögzítettek. A sajtóanyag szerint eddigi legváltozatosabb stúdióalbumukra számíthatunk, amit jól példáz a szolid hangzású zenekar karrierjének eddigi legkeményebb száma, a beharangozó kislemezdalnak választott Unnecessary Drama is, melyhez vicces csapatépítő tréning videót is kaptunk Kasparas Vidunas és Eric J. Liddle rendezésében.
