Bleachers: Stop Making This Hurt – klipdal a sztárproducer Jack Antonoff új albumáról
Az egy évtizede a New York-i Fun. trió gitáros-billentyűs-vokalistájaként befutott, majd Lorde, St. Vincent, Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lana Del Rey és a Dixie Chicks társszerző-producerévé lett Jack Antonoff a saját Bleachers projektje élén is aktív: a 2014-es Strange Desire és 2017-es Gone Now nagylemezek (meg az azokat énekesnős kollaborációkkal kiegészítő Terrible Thrills széria) után tavaly ősszel kiadott egy kislemezt a Chinatown című Bruce Springsteen-duettel és a 45 című B-oldalas Bleachers-dallal – és az azok mellé nyolc további számot illesztő Take The Sadness Out Of Saturday Night albumot is bejelentette most egy új klippel.
A legutóbbi 2017-es sorlemez óta Antonoff 2019-ben kiadott egy albumot Red Hearse nevű másik projektjével is, melyet a Kendrick Lamar-producer Sounwave-vel és Sam Dew énekessel alapított, de a Bleachers az igazi személyes ügye, annak élén tud igazán önmaga lenni. A 37 éves multiinstrumentalista-dalszerző-énekes a július 30-ra várható új lemez mai bejelentéséhez közzétett Stop Making This Hurt című szívfájdalmas-himnikus új dalával nemcsak az általa annyira kedvelt nyolcvanas évekbeli esztétikához tér vissza, de szülőhelyének, New Jersey-nek tradícióihoz is – a leplezetlen Springsteen-hatások mellett például azzal is, hogy a Carlotta Kohl rendezőnővel forgatott táncos videokliphez egy helytörténeti nevezetesség, egy legendás étkezde, a Hasbrouck Heightsban 1947 óta működő Bendix Diner adta a helyszínt.
