Brann Dailor: Red Death – szólódal a Mastodon dobos-énekesétől, Marilyn Manson-tagokkal
A Mastodon frontemberei már korábban is dolgoztak külön projektekkel (Brent Hinds például a Giraffe Tongue Orchestra szupergrupp tagjaként, Troy Sanders meg a Gone Is Gone élén), most pedig a kvartett legjobb énektudású tagját, a friss Grammy-díjas Emperor Of Sand album Show Yourself és Steambreather klipdalaiban is főszerepet kapó szövegíró-dobos Brann Dailort hallhatjuk szólóban: prog-rockos Arcadea triójának tavalyi debütalbuma és Trónok harca-szereplése után az első szólódalát egy Batman-rokon DC-képregénysorozathoz készítette.
A különleges isteni fémekkel megnyitott Sötét Multiverzumról mesélő Dark Nights: Metal széria májusi Dark Days: The Road To Metal képregényalbumához és júniusi keménykötésű deluxe kiadásához igazítva egy hatszámos EP készült. A Dark Nights: Metal Soundtrack első közzétett felvételén Brann Dailor énekét két Marilyn Manson-zenész, a dobos Gil Sharone és a gitáros-filmzeneszerző-producer Tyler Bates, továbbá a basszusgitáron pengető sztárproducer Mike Elizondo kíséri (ez utóbbi kettő egyben a soundtrack két ötletgazdája is). A Mastodon-dobos által énekelt Red Death címszereplője a képregénysorozat egyik gonosza, a Vörös Halál, aki Batman és Flash egyfajta keveréke.
