Coldplay: Orphans + Arabesque (featuring Stromae) – dalok az új Everyday Life albumról

Az először tíz napja egy São Pauló-i metróállomáson, majd pár nappal később a világ további nagyvárosaiban is feltűnt poszteren Chris Martinék egy ősrégi big band tagjaiként láthatók (a szaxofont a XIX. századi német filozófus Friedrich Nietzsche kezébe adták!), kiszivárgott információk pedig egy „experimentális” új albumot ígértek, amit nem sokkal később követne egy populárisabb hangzású újabb anyag is (ahogy a 2014/2015-ös lemezpár esetében is történt), de amint kiderült, a novemberi Everyday Life már magában is dupla kiadvány: az első fele a Sunrise, a másik fele pedig a Sunset címet kapta.

Chris Martinék ma este a BBC Radio 1 adón Annie Mac műsorában az album mindkét lemezéről bemutattak egy-egy számot: míg az Orphans a négy Coldplay-tag közös szerzeménye (amibe az énekes 13 éves fia, Moses Martin is besegített), addig az Arabesque-ben a nigériai szaxofonos-énekes Femi Kuti és a ruandai származású belga popsztár Stromae is társszerzőkként szerepelnek – az előbbi fúvósként is, míg az utóbbi a francia szövegével igazi duettpartnerként is.

FRISSÍTÉS: a svéd sztárproducer Max Martin billentyűs-programozói segítségével készült Orphans című dalhoz másnap egy klipet is bemutattak Mat Whitecross rendezésében!
