David Byrne: The Fat Man’s Comin’ – karácsonyi dal a kövér Télapóról
nekA hajdani Talking Heads-frontember David Byrne a 2018-as American Utopia nagylemeze és azonos című Broadway-show-ja óta több kollaborációval is feltűnt: 2019/2020 telén a komikus John Mulaney-vel egy Netflix-műsorban és egy Saturday Night Live adásban, 2022 elején pedig a Yo La Tengo együttessel egy Yoko Ono-tribute albumon, Montaigne ausztrál popénekesnővel az Always Be You klipduettben, továbbá a Minden, mindenhol, mindenkor című mozifilm Mitskivel és a Son Lux trióval közös This Is A Life betétdalában. Most egy karácsonyi dalt is közzétett a hangszerelő-producer Jherek Bischoff-fal.
Byrne még a St. Vincenttel közös Love This Giant duólemezének és turnéjának idején, 2012/13 táján komponálta a kövér Télapóról szóló Fat Man munkacímű dalt, melyet Amanda Palmer kedvenc zenei segédjével, Jherek Bischoff-fal véglegesített (akinek 2012-es Composed albumán is közreműködött).
2014 januárjában előben is előadták együtt a dalt, de a stúdióverzió csak most került nyilvánosságra The Fat Man’s Comin’ címmel az énekes Bandcamp-oldalán egy videó kíséretében, hogy bevételeivel Reasons To Be Cheerful című nonprofit online hírmagazinját támogassa.
