Foals: Neptune – tízperces videoklip a tavalyi albumpár záródalához
A Foals oxfordi rockerei már a tavalyi Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost albumpárjuk Part 1 alcímű első tavaszi lemezéhez is bőségesen forgattak videókat (Exits, On The Luna, White Onions, Moonlight, Café D’Athens, In Degrees, Sunday), de az ősszel kijött Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2 klipsorozata is bővül még: a Black Bull, The Runner, Into The Surf és Like Lightning mellé most a Neptune című monumentális záródalhoz is kaptunk egy kisfilmet.
„Tízperces space jam, amolyan Stanley Kubrick-hangulatú epikus prog-rock” – jellemezte Yannis Philippakis frontember a Neptunusz című számot, a Naprendszer külső része felé indított expedícióról szóló 2001 – Űrodüsszeia filmre utalva. „A Neptune a menekülési próbálkozásról és a halandóságról szól, ahol az egyetlen megoldás az űrbe utazni vagy meghalni. Egyfajta testen kívüli élmény, amikor minden zűrzavart magad mögött hagysz, és érzel abban valami az elkerülhetetlen sorsszerűséget, hogy tovább akarsz menni egy olyan helyre, ami mindettől messze van. És bármi történik azután, legyen az egy másik lemez vagy bármi más, az már a következő fejezet lesz. Ez így megfelelő befejezésnek tűnt egy hosszú utazás végén.”
A dalhoz igazított tízperces videót David East rendezte, aki legutóbb a Lilo című The Japanese House-klipet forgatta Marika Hackman szereplésével.
