Garbage: No Gods No Masters – videoklip az új album címadó számához
A Garbage legutóbbi 2016-osStrange Little Birds nagylemeze és azt kiegészítő 2017-es No Horses klipdala óta az amerikai sztárproducer-dobos Butch Vig két albumot is kiadott5 Billion In Diamonds nevű másik együttesével, de tavalyra már anyazenekarának új lemezét is sikerült befejeznie társaival, Steve MarkerésDuke Erikson gitáros-billentyűsökkel ésShirley Manson skót énekesnővel. „A kapitalizmus, a vágy, a veszteség és a gyász” témái körül forgó No Gods No Masters albumot június 11-re jelentették be, és az animációs videót kapóThe Men Who Rule The World kislemezdal után a címadó számot már egy igazi klippel tették ma közzé.
Az énekesnőre nagy hatást tettek egy chilei utazása során a santiagói tüntetések, majd a tavalyi amerikai polgárjogi demonstrációk szobordöntögető akciói is, és ezek az élmények az album címét adó No Gods No Masters szövegébe is beszüremkedtek.
„A fennálló hatalmat le kell építeni, és a társadalmat újra kell alkotni.
