Gary Numan: Intruder – az új album címadó dala az IAMX-vezér Chris Corner klipjével

A hetvenes évek végének new wave színterén előbb a Tubeway Army vezéreként az Are ‘Friends’ Electric? kislemezdallal, majd szólóelőadóként a Cars megaslágerrel befutott Numan (született: Gary Anthony James Webb, 1958) a hűvös szintipop után a kilencvenes évektől a sötét tónusú indusztriál rock felé fordulva őrizte meg kreativitását.

Numan több hullámvölgy után az utóbbi években már ismét feljutott az albumlisták élbolyába 2014-es Splinter (Songs From A Broken Mind) és 2017-es Savage (Songs From A Broken World) lemezeivel, és most ez utóbbinak a globális felmelegedés és elsivatagosodás ihlette disztópikus sci-fi vízióját viszi tovább a 2021. május 21-én megjelenő Intruder (Betolakodó) című albumon is, mely ezúttal a Föld szemszögéből tekint az elszemtelenedett parazitaként viselkedő emberiségre.

A Sneaker Pimps és IAMX együttesek élén elhíresült Chris Corner nagy rajongóként már az előző két Gary Numan-nagylemezhez is rendezett egy-egy klipet, és most az Intruder címadó dalának videóját is ő jegyzi.
