Gone Is Gone – klipdalok a Mastodon/Queens Of The Stone Age/At The Drive-In szupergrupp új albumáról
A Mastodon augusztusi Rufus Lives filmdala és szeptemberi Medium Rarities ritkasággyűjteménye után a nagy szakállú basszista-frontember Troy Sanders legközelebb novemberben ad ki egy Killer Be Killed-albumot (a Soulfly-főnök Max Cavalera, a Dillinger Escape Plan-énekes Greg Puciato és a Converge-dobos Ben Koller társaságában), de most bejelentett még decemberre is egy nagylemezt – Gone Is Gone nevű másik szupergruppjával, melyben a Queens Of The Stone Age-gitáros Troy Van Leeuwennel és az At The Drive-In-dobos Tony Hajjarral játszik együtt.
A Gone Is Gone kvartett, melyben a három híres alapító mellett a multiinstrumentalista-vokalista Mike Zarin a negyedik tag, a 2016-os Gone Is Gone EP és a 2017-es Echolocation debütalbum után már 2019 végén jelentkezett egy No One Ever Walked On Water című visszatérő kislemezdallal, ami mellé az idei év második felében további videós számok is felsorakoztak – és a tegnap este bemutatott Breaks klippel együtt az új albumot is bejelentették december 4-re If Everything Happens For A Reason. . . Then Nothing Really Matters At All címmel.
Sandersék elmondása szerint második Gone Is Gone-album a 2016-2017-es lemezek ötleteit változatosabb és izgalmasabb irányokba fejleszti tovább: olyan dalokat akartak írni, melyek sokféle formában, hagyományos rockzenekari hangzással és elektronikus alapokkal is működőképesek – ez utóbbira a legfrissebb Breaks klipdal is jó példa.
