A Blur-frontember Damon Albarnnak idén a járványhelyzet miatt nem jött össze a szólóműsora, de a Gorillaz új dal- és videósorozatát maximálisan végig tudta vinni: a januártól havonta érkező Slaves-, Slowthai-, Fatoumata Diawara-, Peter Hook-, Georgia-, Tony Allen-, Skepta-, Octavian-, ScHoolboy Q-, Robert Smith-, Elton John- és Beck-kollaborációkkal felvezetett őszi Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez albumhoz most év végén megkapjuk a finálét is – a kilencedik klipet a soul-funk énekes Leee Johnnal közös The Lost Chord című dalhoz.
Az új Gorillaz-lemezen a Cure-vezér Robert Smith-szel készült Strange Timez nyitódal és a Beckkel felvett The Valley Of The Pagans után harmadik számként szereplő The Lost Chord vendégénekese, Leee John (született: Leslie McGregor John, 1957) a nyolcvanas években az Imagination nevű londoni soul-funk-diszkó együttes billentyűs-frontembereként többször is a slágerlisták élbolyába került, és most is brillírozik Albarn mellett. Közös dalukhoz a sorozatzáró klipet – melyben az animált zenekartagok visszakerülnek 2010-es Plastic Beach albumuk óceánon ringatózó mesterséges szigetére – ezúttal is a Gorillaz-vizuálfelelős Jamie Hewlett készítette.
