ionnalee: Remember The Future – videoklip + album Zola Jesus és a Röyksopp közreműködésével
A hagyományos gitáros-billentyűs-dalszerző-énekesnőként induló svéd Jonna Lee az elektropopra váltása óta eltelt tíz évben az iamamiwhoami projekt élén készült Bounty, Kin és Blue albumainak, illetve a már ionnalee néven kiadott tavalyi Everyone Afraid To Be Forgotten szólólemezének a teljes anyagához forgatott összefüggő filmszerű videosorozatokat, de a Röyksopp duót és Zola Jesust is szerepeltető idei Remember The Future albumához már csak néhány „lo-fi sci-fi” klipet rendezett: az Open Sea és a Some Body mellé most itt a címadó dal kisfilmje is.
A saját multimédia projektjei mellett 2015 óta a norvég Röyksopp fő turnéénekesnőjeként is dolgozó Jonna Lee a már saját maga producereként felvett 2018-as ionnalee-szólóanyaga után nem szándékozott rögtön újra stúdióba vonulni, de az Everyone Afraid To Be Forgotten közösségi finanszírozással tető alá hozott világkörüli koncertkörútjának közönségreakcióitól fellelkesülve mégis gyorsan készített Remember The Future címmel egy újabb nagylemezt, amihez újabb világturnét hirdetett (ezúttal már budapesti állomással is). A hangszálait fenyegető betegség parája ihlette tavalyi album után az új számait a sötét időkben is világító remény hatja át, no meg a retrofuturista esztétika – lásd a régimódi robotpáncélt, amit lemezborítóhoz és a videókhoz épített!
Az előző lemez két férfi vendéghangja, a TR/ST név alatt dolgozó kanadai szintetizátoros-producer-énekes Robert Alfons és az angol Röyksopp-turnéénekestárs Jamie Irrepressible (The Irrepressibles) után az új albumra két kolléganő érkezett duettezni: a szintén svéd zongorista-gitáros-énekesnő Jennie Abrahamson (akit Peter Gabriel legutóbbi 2014-es turnéjáról is ismerhetünk) és a fenti nyitóképen látható orosz-amerikai dark díva, Zola Jesus. A lemezre Jonna Lee a saját szerzeményei mellé egy feldolgozást is felvett, az 1986-os Kék bársony mozifilm Julee Cruise által énekelt Mysteries Of Love című David Lynch/Angelo Badalamenti-kompozíciójának átiratát a Röyksopp-tagokkal (akiknek 2017-es turnéján már élő verzióban is előadta ezt a klasszikust), a három klipdalban pedig a másik iamamiwhoami-alapító, Claes Björklund (Barbelle) volt a társproducere – a harmadikként megfilmesített címadó Remember The Future ma közzétett videója itt látható a művésznő és az operatőr John Strandh közös rendezésében.
