Liars: Sekwar +FRISSÍTÉS: Big Appetite – újabb klipdal az új The Apple Drop albumról
Az ezredforduló New York-i dance-punk színteréről induló, 2004-ben a budapesti Szilvuplé pincéjében is koncertező, 2010-ben Beck és St. Vincent társaságában egy pazar INXS-tribute albumot is rögzítő, majd egyre inkább sötét elektronikus irányba forduló Liars experimentalista art-rock zenekar a 2017-2018-as TFCF (Theme From Crying Fountain) és Titles With The Word Fountain (TWTWF) nagylemezektől kezdve már az ausztrál frontember Angus Andrew szólóprojektjeként működik. Az énekest idén márciusban a Xiu Xiu együttes Oh No duettalbumán hallhattuk vendégként, most pedig a tizedik Liars-sorlemezt is bejelentette egy erős klipdallal.
Az avantgárd dzsesszdobos Laurence Pike és a multiinstrumentalista Cameron Deyell bevonásával felvett, és a Mute kiadónál 2021. augusztus 6-án megjelenő The Apple Drop albumról elsőként a Sekwar című baljós énekbeszédes számot hallhatjuk, melyhez Angus a Stranger Things-jelenetnek is beillő barlangos klipet Clemens Habicht rendezővel forgatta, aki az elmúlt egy évtizedben a Tame Impala (Expectation), a Bloc Party (Truth), Flume (Some Minds, Never Be Like You) és az AC/DC (Realize) számára is dolgozott.
