Natalie Portman: Wrapped Up – a Vox Lux film Sia által írt betétdala +FRISSÍTÉS: Scott Walker filmzenéje

Az Egy vezér gyermekkora című első rendezésével a tavalyi budapesti Titanic Filmfesztiválon is bemutatkozó Brady Corbet második nagyjátékfilmje, a Vox Lux egy Celeste nevű amerikai lányról szól, aki 1999-ben egy iskolai lövöldözés súlyosan megsebesült túlélőjeként írt traumadalával kezdi énekesnői karrierjét, majd a jelenben már globális szupersztárként  láthatjuk viszont harmincas évei elején (Natalie Portman figurájának kamaszkori énjét – majd később a tizenéves lányát is – a 2002-es születésű Raffey Cassidy brit színésznő játssza). A filmhez az instrumentális aláfestő zenét (ahogy már az Egy vezér gyermekkora esetében is) a legendás experimentalista art-rocker Scott Walker komponálta, míg a betétdalokat Sia írta.

Sajnos a filmbeli irritáló sztárperszóna nagyrészt üres és sematikus műanyag popszámokat énekel, de szerencsés kivételként itt van a sztárproducer Greg Kurstin társszerzői segédletével készült Wrapped Up című katartikus legelső dal, melyet Celeste a történet szerint még törékeny tinédzserként írt kórházi ágyán a nővére (Stacy Martin) társaságában, hogy az áldozatokra emlékező gyertagyújtós esten elénekelhesse.
