A Pearl Jam a 2013-as Lightning Bolt albuma óta nem adott ki új számot (bár 2014-ben az Illinois állambeli Moline-ban eljátszott élőben egy Moline című friss szerzeményt, 2015-ben megjelentette az Eagles Of Death Metaltól feldolgozott I Want You So Hard koncertfelvételét egy jótékonysági kislemezen, 2016-ban pedig a Jack White-nál tett látogatásuk idején Eddie Vedder frontember rögzített a David Lynch-féle Twin Peakshez egy Out Of Sand című szólódalt, amit aztán magában a tévésorozatban is elénekelt), most azonban végre itt egy új PJ-stúdiófelvétel is fél évtized év után!
A Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame-be tavaly beiktatott seattle-i zenekar (melynek frontemberét pár napja egy Tom Petty-dallal az idei Oscar-gálaesten is láthattuk) a basszusgitáros Jeff Ament 55. születénapján, március 10-én a Sirius XM-en a Pearl Jam Radio adásában mutatta be, majd a rajongói klubjának oldalán tette elérhető a Can’t Deny Me című lendületes protest songot, melynek szövegében az Eddie-ék által pellengérre állított gazdag és buta hatalmi figurába nem nehéz Donald Trumpot belelátni.
