Phoenix: Identical – Sofia Coppola és Bill Murray új On The Rocks filmjének betétdala
A nemzetközileg legsikeresebb francia indie pop zenekar, a Phoenix kvartett a 2017-es Ti Amo című legutóbbi albuma (és az azt kiegészítő 2018-as Monologue kislemeze) után ma új számmal tért vissza, mely egyben filmbetétdal is: a frontember Thomas Mars felesége, az amerikai forgatókönyvíró-rendezőnő Sofia Coppola ismét Bill Murray-vel forgatta On The Rocks című új munkáját, melynek zenéjét ismét a Phoenix komponálta.
A már a 2003-as Elveszett jelentésben is főszerepet kapó veterán komikus mellett Rashida Jones és Marlon Wayans szereplésével készült On The Rocks már az ötödik alkalom, hogy Sofia rendezéséhez Thomasék adnak zenét (még az A Very Murray Christmas című 2015-ös karácsonyi műsorhoz is készített a Phoenix egy számot – egy jótékonysági kislemezre került Beach Boys-feldolgozást Bill Murray-vel).
Az Identical című új filmdalt a francia zenészek néhai producerüknek, a tavaly tragikus körülmények közt elhunyt Cassius-tag Philippe Zdarnak a párizsi stúdiójában rögzítették, és az ő emlékének ajánlották – a videót pedig Sofia bátyja, a már több Phoenix-klipet is rendező Roman Coppola jegyzi.
