Regina Spektor: Birdsong – új dal + And Your Bird Can Sing – Beatles-feldolgozás
Az orosz származású New York-i Regina Spektortól legutóbb 2016-os Remember Us To Life albumán hallhattunk friss szerzeményeket (a Bleeding Heart, Small Bill$, The Trapper And The Furrier és Black And White klipet is kaptak), de most itt egy vadonatúj dala, melyet a Romanov uralkodócsalád mai leszármazottairól szóló The Romanoffs című Amazon-sorozat e heti epizódjához írt. A Birdsong érdekessége, hogy a zongorista-énekesnőnek már korábban is volt egy Madárdal című száma, legutóbbi felvétele pedig az And Your Bird Can Sing című Beatles-feldolgozás volt.
Az 1980-as moszkvai születésű Regina jó barátja a Mad Men – Reklámőrültek alkotójaként elhíresült Matthew Weinernek, és az ő orosz témájú új The Romanoffs sorozatának pedig még lelkesebb rajongója, így boldogan mondott igent a felkérésre, hogy készítsen egy betétdalt az idei első évad Panorama című hatodik részéhez. Az író-rendező egy verskezdeményéből kiindulva komponált és Atticus McKittrick klasszikus gitárjátékával díszített Birdsong című szerzeményt a most hétvégén bemutatott epizódban Melinda Dahl színésznő tátogja el, de közben Regina Spektor hangját hallhatjuk.
