Rufus Wainwright: Alone Time – videoklip + Hollywon’t – friss dal a karanténsorozatból

Az Unfollow The Rules nagylemez eredetileg ma, április 24-én jelent volna meg, ám Rufus a koronavírus-járványhelyzet miatt elcsúsztatta július 10-re, viszont a mai napra dupla dalpremierrel is készült: az album negyedik hivatalos beharangozójaként a saját rajzaira és Josh Shaffner animációjára épülő Alone Time klipet néhány perce publikálta YouTube-csatornáján, a Quarantunesként (vagy háziköntöséről elnevezve Robe Recitalsként) emlegetett napi karanténvideóinak sorában pedig múlt éjszaka egy friss szerzeményének, a Hollywood sötét oldaláról írt szójátékos című Hollywon’tnak az ősbemutatóját tartotta meg.

#AloneTime is officially out now! Thank you to everyone who tuned in bright and early for the music video premiere today, and thank you to the incredible Josh Shaffner for bringing the world of Alone Time to life using my own drawings in such a beautiful way. I hope you’ll all join me for #Quarantunes LIVE at 10am PST today! I’ll be performing Alone Time and talking more about its meaning and the #UnfollowTheRules album. Today, in these dark times, I’m thinking a lot about the thousands of people who due to COVID 19 are forced to experience intense isolation at the end of their days in order to save others, and the incredible fear that that must entail. This track is humbly dedicated to them, it is a wish of hope and a prayer for grace that they feel some sense of joy and comfort in knowing they are performing such an incredible act of sacrifice for humanity. It’s the same in relationships. You’re deeply in love with another person but still you have to be alone sometimes. It’s a paradox. But don’t worry, I assure everyone that I will be back… maybe sooner than they’d like! Sending love and health to all. ❤️🌊
