Rufus Wainwright: Damsel In Distress – az új Unfollow The Rules albumról

Az új album címét a meleg dalnok 2011-es születésű lányának, Leonard Cohen unokájának egy mondata ihlette: a kis Viva azt mondta apjának, hogy ő inkább kikövetni szeretné a szabályokat, mint követni. Az Unfollow The Rules először számcím volt, a 2018-as Here And Now mozifilmben a dzsesszdívát alakító Sarah Jessica Parker énekével hallhatjuk a Rufus által írt betétdalt, ami aztán a szerző verziójában átkerült címadó dalként az új nagylemezre is. A sztárproducer Mitchell Froom (Suzanne Vega, Sheryl Crow, Elvis Costello, Paul McCartney, Ron Sexsmith stb.) segédletével készült album bejelentéséhez viszont a Damsel In Distress című számot tették közzé, melynek struktúráját Rufus elmondása szerint a legendás kanadai dalszerző-énekesnő, Joni Mitchell ihlette. A számhoz Josh Shaffner animátor rendezett videót.
