A harmincas éveik közepén járó dalszerző-énekesek a közös Silk Sonic-kompozícióik közül csak azt a március elején megjelent sikerszámot játszották újra és újra minden elő fellépésén egy sor nagy profilú gálaesten, az An Evening With Silk Sonic címmel ígért albumról csak a Leave The Door Open felvezetésének számító egyperces intrót tették közzé pluszba (névadójuknak, a legendás Parliament/Funkadelic-basszista Bootsy Collinsnak a konferanszával), de most a második kislemezdal is megérkezett tőlük Skate címmel, szintén hetvenes évekbeli klasszikus soul hangulattal (szerencsére már élénkebb tempóval), szintén a multiinstrumentalista D’Mile (született: Dernst Emile II, 1985) társszerző-produceri segédletével – és egy újabb klippel Bruno Mars és Florent Dechard rendezésében.
