St. Vincent: The Nowhere Inn – a Carrie Brownsteinnel írt film betétdala +FRISSÍTÉS: a teljes filmzenealbum
Az amerikai dalszerző-gitáros-énekesnő St. Vincent az idei Daddy’s Home albumához a Pay Your Way In Pain, a Down és a címadó szám klipjeit Bill Benz rendezővel forgatta, de most a héten végre hivatalos forgalmazásba kerül The Nowhere Inn című tavalyi mozifilmjük is, melyet a művésznő a kedvenc barátnőjével, a Sleater-Kinney csajzenekarból és a Portlandia vígjátéksorozatból ismert Carrie Brownsteinnel közösen írt, sőt a főszerepekben is saját maguk fikcionált verzióját játsszák. A film St. Vincent-zenéi mellé két új betétdalt is írtak együtt, és a hétvégén megjelenő The Nowhere Inn filmzenealbumról az azonos című szám itt már hallható is.
A nagyrészt a 2017-as MASSEDUCTION album 2018-2019-es zenekari turnéja idején készült és rengeteg valódi koncertjelenet is tartalmazó „bolond művészfilm” egy kudarcba fulladó dokumentumfilm-forgatás szürreális története, melynek végére egy többtételes musical-fantáziajelenet (The Nowhere Inn) és a stáblista alá egy másik közös szerzemény (Palm Desert) is került. Ezekben az új St.Vincent-számokban Carrie Brownstein gitáron, a Warpaint-tag Stella Mozgawa dobosként, a producer Jack Antonoff pedig gitáros-szintetizátorosként működik közre.
