The 1975: It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You) – dal az énekes heroinfüggőségéről + két klip egy hét alatt
A manchesteri The 1975 együttes az elmúlt egy hétben már bemutatott két videoklipet és tegnap este egy új számot is közzétett a november 30-ra várható A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships album felvezető dalainak sorában: a júniusi Give Yourself A Try, a júliusi Love It If We Made It, az augusztusi TooTimeTooTimeTooTime és a szeptemberi Sincerity Is Scary után most itt az októberi It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You) is. Ami a két friss klipet illeti, az egyik a júliusi kislemezdalhoz készült, a másik meg a Fülöp-szigeteki R&B énekes No Rome-mal közös számukhoz.
A fenti zenekarképen jobbról másodikként látható frontember, az 1989-es születésű Matty Healy már tavaly novemberben jelezte egy képernyőfotóval, hogy írt egy It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You) című dalt, idén nyáron pedig azt is elárulta, hogy a közelgő albumon lesz egy olyan szerzemény, melyben kendőzetlenül vall majd heroinfüggőségéről – és most már tudhatjuk, hogy ugyanarról a számról van szó. A gitáros-énekes saját bevallása szerint 2014-2017 között volt heroin rabja, és ezt most egy dalban tárgyalja ki, ahogy korábbi kokainaddikciójával a 2015-ös UGH! című The 1975-slágerben vetett számot.
Az It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You) premierjét a BBC Radio 1 adón Annie Mac műsorában tartották, és a felvezető interjúban Matty nemcsak magáról az új dalról beszélt (a legtipikusabb The 1975-számnak tartja a címnélküli The 1975-debütalbum óta), de az idei A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships nagylemez után már 2019-ben megérkező Notes On A Conditional Form című következő albumról is (tisztelegni fog a brit éjszakai élet és klubkultúra előtt, az előző évtized iránti nosztalgiával a garage DJ-producer MJ Cole és Mike Skinner-féle The Streets nevét említi referenciaként).
