A Killers-rajongók 2019-ben nemcsak a gitáros Dave Keuning január végén megjelenő Prismism című első szólólemezének örülhetnek, de az anyazenekartól is kapnak most egy új felvételt: a legutóbbi 2017-es Wonderful Wonderful album után az addig egy évtizeden át rendszeres karácsonyi dalokból ugyan már nem érkezett több, de 2018 decemberében feltűnt az együttes oldalain egy fotó Brandon Flowers frontemberről, amint épp felénekel valamit a stúdióban – és most itt a végeredmény, egy protest song az aggasztó amerikai politikai és társadalmi jelenségek témakörében.
A szerzeményeiben a nyílt politizálástól eddig ódzkodó dalszerző-énekes elmondása szerint a több éven át érlelődő Land Of The Free című számot a Sandy Hook és parklandi iskolai vérengzések, az orlandói és Las Vegas-i merényletek, illetve a feketék elleni hatósági túlkapások ihlették, no meg Donald Trump mexikói falépítő politikája. A Jacknife Lee producerrel felvett himnikus dal premierjét a Beats 1 webrádión Zane Lowe műsorában tartották. FRISSÍTÉS: néhány órával később a videoklip is megérkezett hozzá Spike Lee rendezésében!
