Todd Rundgren és a Steely Dan-vezér Trump-klipjének Fox News-premierje
A 68 éves amerikai multiinstrumentalista-producer-dalszerző-énekes Todd Rundgren két hete adta ki sztárparádés új White Knight albumát, melyet a svéd popénekesnő Robynnal közös That Could Have Been Me című dal és a Nine Inch Nails-tagokkal készült Deaf Ears klip harangozott be, de a legnagyobb reklámot most hétvégén a konzervatív amerikai Fox News hírtelevízió csinálta neki, mikor elsőként játszotta le klipként azt a videót, amit Rundgren addig csak háttérvetítésként használt koncertjein a Donald Trumpot és környezetét kifigurázó Tin Foil Hat című számához, melyet a Steely Dan szintén 1948-as születésű frontemberével, a billentyűs-énekes Donald Fagennel közösen rögzített.
A tavaszi koncerteken előfordult, hogy a gitáros-énekes átöltözésének szünetében vetített gúnyos Turmp-ellenes videó (melyben a tévékommentátor majom, Bill O’Rangutan a nevét a Fox News szexuális zaklatás miatt kirúgott műsorvezetője, Bill O’Reilly nyomán kapta) a közönség némely tagjánál annyira kiverte a biztosítékot, hogy megzavarta a koncert következő dalának előadását is, és erre reakcióként Rundgren egy interjúban azt üzente, hogy Trump-rajongók inkább ne is jöjjenek a fellépéseire, mert nem fogják jól érzeni magukat. A Fox News ezt nyílt diszkriminációnak ítélte, és Jesse Watters szombati adásában megszólaltatta a rockert is, illusztrációként pedig bemutatta a videót is, amit aztán Rundgren tegnap hivatalos klipként is kitett lemezcége YouTube-csatornájára.
