U.S. Girls: Overtime – a Basia Bulat közreműködésével készült a Heavy Light albumról

Az 1985-ben Meghan Ann Uremovichként anyakönyvezett egyesült államokbeli lány a torontói férjéhez, a Slim Twig név alatt dolgozó pszichedelikus art-rock gitáros-énekes Max Turnbullhoz kiköltözve a kanadai művészközösségben új otthonra lelve tudta alkotói energiáit igazán felszabadítani és szólóprojektjét kollektívává alakítani. A teátrális élő koncertek energiáit a stúdiófelvételekbe is átmentő új Heavy Light albumot Montrealban mintegy húsz zenésszel (köztük az alábbi csoportkép bal szélén látható Arcade Fire-basszusgitáros Tim Kingsburyvel) rögzítették.

A fenti fekete-fehér képek bal szélén látható 1984-es születésű multiinstrumentalista-dalszerző-énekesnő Basia Bulat egy torontói kávézóban barátkozott össze az ott dolgozó Meggel, és 2014-től kezdve gyakran beugrott vokálozni U.S. Girls-fellépésekre, a 2018-as sikeralbumon való közreműködése után pedig most az új lemezen már fő szerzőtárssá lépett elő. Zeneszerző-hangszerelői segítsége jól érezhető az elsőként közzétett Overtime című számban, mely egy 2013-ban már megjelent U.S. Girls-dal átalakított változata (Meg Remy a 2010-es évek elejéről két másik régi szerzeményéből is készített újraértelmezett verziókat az új albumra), a szaxofonszólót pedig a Bruce Springsteen-féle The E Street Band szaxofonosa, James Clemons fújja benne. A klipet rendezőként maga Meg forgatta le a torontói Dreamwalker Dance Company egyik táncosnőjével, Andrea Nann-nel.
