„Nem vagyok jó abban, hogy a politikáról írjak számokat, de végül is a politikusság mindenben benne van. Inkább írok arról, hogy milyen vesztesnek lenni, aminek általában van is valóságalapja és sokat elárul rólam. Ezeket a dalokat akkor írtuk, mikor egy hosszútávú kapcsolatban éltem, minden nap drogoztam és seggfej voltam. De nem igazán jöttem rá, mekkora seggfej vagyok, csak amikor már túl késő volt. . . és a lemez nagy részében visszaköszön, ahogy megbarátkozom a ténnyel, hogy rossz célokat tűztem ki magam elé” – mondja az 1990-es San Franciscói-i születésű énekes az új albumról, melyhez a zenekar a már bevált svéd producerek (a Hives-körből ismert Pelle Gunnerfeldt és Daniel Fagerström) mellé olyan amerikai segéderőket is hívott, mint a Chavez-vezér Matt Sweeney, illetve a sztárproducer Justin Raisen és testvére, Jeremiah Raisen (Sad Pony).
