Wet Leg: Chaise Longue + Wet Dream – klipdalok a brit csajduótól
Az idei év eddigi legjobb debütáló kislemezét egy Wight-szigeti csajduó, Rhian Teasdale és Hester Chambers gitáros-énekesnők Wet Leg nevű együttese jegyzi a feszes dobok fölött posztpunkosan repetitív, fapofa énekbeszédben előadott júniusi Chaise Longue (azaz Sezlon) című klipdallal, melynek most végre megérkezett a folytatása is Wet Dream címmel, ismét egy saját rendezésű vicces videóval. A meghatározó hatásai közt a Ronettes girl group, Jane Birkin, Björk, Ty Segall és az Idles nevét említő lányduó 2021-ben az az indie szenzáció, ami a hasonlóan minimalista szólóénekesnő Billy Nomates volt egy évvel korábban – csak dupla hatásfokkal.
Az egymást még tizenéves főiskolás koruk óta, egy évtizede ismerő, néha együtt is és külön projektekben is zenélő Rhian Teasdale (RHAIN) és Hester Chambers (Maybe Tuesday/Blackhouse Crow) 2019 őszén vették fel első Wet Leg-számukat néhány hímnemű zenészhaverjuk támogatása mellett Girlfriend címmel, idén pedig már a menő Domino kiadó (Buzzcocks, Franz Ferdinand, Super Furry Animals, Arctic Monkeys stb.) alá szerződve robbantak be az indie színtérre első hivatalos megjelenésükkel, melyet egy szintén Wight-szigeti producerrel, Jon McMullennel rögzítettek, de végső hangzást már a veterán hangmérnök Alan Moulder keverte ki belőle.
A három hónap után most megérkezett Wet Dream című második kislemezdalukat már egy első vonalbeli producerrel, Dan Carey-vel vették fel. Míg az első szám a pajkos csábításról (a címbeli heverőre való leheveredésről) szólt, addig a második már egy szakítás utáni helyzetről, mikor az egykori férfipartner még mindig a főhősnő után vágyakozik nedves álmaiban.
